Sony has been hard at work expanding its slate of Marvel-centric films in the last few years. Besides their Spider-Man films made in conjunction with Marvel Studios, the studio has a Venom sequel coming up, as well as a Morbius film. The studio is also hard at work developing a Spider-Verse sequel. Their latest Marvel project is Silk, a television series focusing on Spider-Man character Cindy Moon. With the series set to roll cameras soon, Production Weekly was able to obtain the show’s working title: Hockey Queens.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that the Sony series would be heading to Amazon Prime Video. Watchmen executive producer Tom Spezialy, who has inked an overall deal with Amazon Studios, will be joining the Silk series as both an executive producer and showrunner alongside Lauren Moon, who wrote the adaptation. The adaptation is set to follow Cindy Moon, who made her debut in Dan Slott’s The Amazing Spider-Man #1 and later appeared as Silk in issue 4. Shortly after Peter Parker is bitten by a radioactive spider, Cindy Moon, Peter’s classmate, is bitten as well. She also manifests spider-like abilities, with the capability of shooting organic webbing.
