Kathryn Hahn Agatha Harkness WandaVision Marvel Studios MCUMatt Shakman revealed that Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha All Along song in WandaVision nearly had a completely different title.

WandaVision‘s debut on Disney Plus surprisingly feels like a long time ago now that we’ve had The Falcon and The Winter Soldier as well as the release of Loki inching ever closer. But one of the most iconic moments from the series from Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness nearly wound up having a completely different title altogether. As fans will already know (you’re probably humming it as you read this) Harkness’ gloriously villainous reveal came with a fantastic musical accompaniment sung by Hahn herself, Agatha All Along.

During an interview with EW’s The Awardist, series director Matt Shakman explained that the original plan for the the song was calling it That’s So Agatha, before the writers came up with Agatha All Along as they considered everything the witch had been up to in the series. That’s So Agatha is still an interesting title, but the final version of the song definitely works a lot better. Take a look below.

“Originally you had, ‘That’s So Agatha.’ [That] was sort of the idea for [the song]. I remember Kristen saying, ‘We’ve been toying around with Agatha All Along.’ And we thought, great, awesome! Then we had several chats about what, exactly, Agatha had been doing all along so that they could be more specific with it. Then I just remember that Munsters meets Oompa-Loompa song coming in and being like, ‘Oh my God, this is the best thing ever.’”

What do you make of the That’s So Agatha title? What did you think to Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness in WandaVision? Sound-off in the comments below!

You can read the official synopsis for WandaVision below.

Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Matt Shakman directed the series with Jac Schaeffer as the lead scribe; WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Evan Peters as Ralph Bohner, and Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness.

WandaVision is available on Disney Plus, while Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is set to hit theaters on March 25, 2022. Keep following along to stay up to date on all of the latest surrounding the MCU, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
