Avengers Infinity War Paul Bettany White Vision WandaVision MCUMarvel Cinematic Universe star Paul Bettany has revealed that WandaVision‘s White Vision almost appeared in Avengers: Infinity War.

Paul Bettany’s Vision has had a bit of a rough time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe lately. Originally the character was Tony Stark’s AI program, J.A.R.V.I.S. before becoming Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron and appearing once again in Captain America: Civil War. The character would return for Avengers: Infinity War where he was killed by Thanos after the big Marvel bad tore an Infinity Stone from the android’s head.

Vision would ultimately make another appearance in WandaVision in two forms. The first was a kind of magical illusion created by Wanda Maximoff and served as one of the main protagonists of the Disney Plus series. The second was a white version of the character, resurrected from Vision’s remains though lacking his memories. But, according to Paul Bettany, this version of Vision almost made some kind of appearance in Avengers: Infinity War.

While speaking to The Playlist, Paul Bettany opened up about his role as Vision in WandaVision and talked about how a version of the character almost appeared in the third Avengers film:

“Kevin and I are about the same age. How old is Kevin? A bit younger than me? Maybe he’s a year younger. I have many friends around this age, for whom White Vision was like a big deal for them in the ’70s. So Kevin and I had been talking about that for years. But I can’t remember the moment. I suspected something when we talked about draining my character of color in Avengers: Infinity War.”
